Where: Forrest Place, Perth.
Only a month remains to
experience the summer series of
Hawkers Markets in Forrest Place.
The markets take place each
Friday night and offer visitors to
the city the chance to meander
through rows of market stalls,
sampling cuisine from around
the globe, including Indonesian
satays, Spanish paella, Turkish
gozlemes and Moroccan tagines,
to name just a few.

Freo Village Market
Where: Kings Square, Fremantle.
These markets feature a mix of
traders and artists who reflect the
vibrant life of Freo. The markets
also feature Stitchville, where
craft-loving types from beginner to
experienced can bring their current
projects and share their skills under
the fig trees. For the young or
young at heart, Club Fairy features
face painting, fairy yoga, games and

The Kalbarri Sports
Held over the Labour Day long
weekend, this game fishing,
bottom fishing and river fishing
tournament has something for
all ages, whether they choose to
fish from a boat or on land. In
this, the 26th year of this
successful, friendly competition
anglers will compete for $10,000
worth of prizes across 28

Perth Armadale Motor
Where: Forrest Place, Perth.
See vintage cars from 1918 and
earlier, as they gather to take
part in the Perth to Armadale
Motor Run Re-enactment. Veteran
cars and motorcycles will be on
display in Forrest Place, Perth, from
9am for the public to inspect. At
11am, the convoy will leave for
Armadale, where the event will

Up, Down and Around
This exhibition allows visitors
the chance to investigate the
concepts of forces, motion and
energy and be inspired by the
world of physics. Participants
can have fun learning as they
push, pull, press and play with the
exciting full-body experiences,
such as pendulums, pulleys
and gyroscopes. There's also a
unique 360 degree bike as the
main feature of the exhibition,
which allows the adventurous
to experience the concepts of
free-fall, velocity and momentum
as they travel around the loop.
